I used to own an amazing Carvin DC150 Guitar.  However, when I went looking to buy one I noticed that the company discontinued that model so I decided to make one.  

Using a photo, I projected the image and made a template of the shape.  Then for fun I found some very interesting wood - Australian Lacewood.  It really does look like it has lacework in it.  Very cool stuff that behaves similar to oak in working properties.  

The Maple Neck was purchased from Carvin and laminated to the body.  Carvin electronics and gold hardware was added.  This guitar plays as well as any I have onwed and have now had it for many years.  I still love to just look at it.
