This idea started with a slab of ash I found at my wood supplier.  It had a unique streak of pink in it, likely from a mineral deposit.  It also had some flame and some quilt on an edge, which are all unique to Ash, so it had to become a guitar.  For pickups this has a vintage Carvin M22SD Scorcher in the bridge and a Carvin AP11 in the neck.  The new owner is loving it and it was even played by a guitar player from 10,000 Maniacs who liked it!
