Quilted Maple over Ash

While the Stratocaster is iconic, I didn't want to make what everyone else makes, so I decided to play with the shape to make it a little more striking.  This is shortened from the original shape as well as bowed the bottom inward to make it a one of a kind Strat.  The pick guard was hand cut to expose more of the quilted maple as well as flow with the lines better in my opinion.  The pickups are Carvin AP-11 - 11 Pole single coil pickups that I buy whenever I see them come up on eBay or Reverb since they are getting more and more rare, but are something special.  Finished off with flame maple neck with rosewood fretboard and locking tuners.  Final weight is 7.2 lbs.
