I always liked the shape of the Jaguar and Jazzmaster for something a bit different.  This build started with a gorgeous piece of Flame Maple matched with a Black Walnut body.  The neck is Birdseye Maple with a striking Bocote fretboard.  The fretboard has standard side markers, but for something different, I decided to laser on the evolution of man with the most "primitive" notes at the top of the neck.  The pickups are Guitar Fetish Vintage Alnico II with their KwikPlug for fast pickup changes.  6.2 lbs.
