I have made several models of this Flag Cabinet.  This particular one is a combination of Padauk, Purple Heart and Maple.

Made to be mounted on a wall and hold either guns or tools, the case includes a French Cleat at the back for easy one person mounting, and 2" of Kaizen foam inside for easily cutting recesses.

Some models use a piano hinge and swing up with a brace, and one opens with a set of pulleys where by raising the top of the door, the bottom lowers.  That model used Bloodwood vs. Padauk.
