I saw an ad for Olive wood from Turkey on eBay and thought it might be fun to work with something that isn't readily available in the US, so jumped on it.  For a good all around tone wood I stuck with Ash for the body.  The pickups are vintage Carvin AP11.  The neck is Sapele with a Tiger Wood fretboard.  This is the Strat that Fender would never make.
